Camellia Sinensis - Hojicha Latte

Very popular in Japan, Hojicha is traditionally a green tea whose leaves have been roasted for a few minutes, transforming the vegetal notes typical of Japanese green teas into toasted, woody and nutty notes.

While excellent when drunk as a hot tea in a teapot, it is the powdered (rather than loose-leaf) version of this beverage, prepared as a latte, that is currently enjoying a surge in popularity. The preparation is similar to that of a Matcha latte.
